Christian Counsellors Association of Australia Inc
Christian Counsellors Association of Australia Incorporated is a nationwide federation of State based CCAA's who join together to promote and maintain professional standards of quality counselling across Australia. CCAA conforms to the standards of training and supervised experience and ethical standards required by PACFA.
It also demands theological training to enable the counsellor to address spiritual and faith issues as part of the counselling process. Members qualify by meeting the recognised training standards and by demonstrating competence through clinical examination. CCAA provides a venue for continued professional development through meetings and conferences, and by continuing supervision.
CCAA accepts counsellors of many modalities (eg psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural), and client groups (individual, marriage, family). Members work in a variety of organisations (religious and secular) and in private practice.
