Ione has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate counselling, psychotherapy and supervision education and training and supervision of higher degree research students for 17 years and has practiced clinically for over 26 years. She is an active researcher in professional identity, the relationship between sexual health and violence, gender, evaluation of women’s health services, supervision and consumer participation in research. She is a member of ANZAP and ANZAP ethics committee and a member of AASW.

Kaalii is co-director of the Kairos Centre in Melbourne, where she has been involved in planning and implementing counselling and psychotherapy training for sixteen years. She and her partner, Andrew, developed the therapeutic modality of Soul Centred psychotherapy in the 1980s.Kaalii has worked in private practice as a psychotherapist for thirty years, recently concentrating on supervision and group work. She has a special interest in energy psychology and mind-body communication, which was the focus of her PhD. She is the current President of SCAPE, a member of the PACFA Register committee and the PACFA Research committee. She is passionate about the ongoing development and recognition of the professions of counselling and psychotherapy. Kaalii has four children and seven grandchildren, spends some of each winter in Bali, and writes speculative fiction.

Charles Wilson is CEO for Communicare Sydney and has had over 25 years experience in the community sector. In addition he works as a psychologist, relationship counsellor and Supervisor in a private practice from home. Charles has been a counsellor for over 20 years and been actively involved on a National level in the Australian Association of Relationship Counsellors. He served as the National President of AARC for 10 years. Charles is also actively involved in providing pre marriage and marriage enrichment training programs.

Mick has spent 9 years as a Salvation Army Officer with appointments in Corps (Church) and Magistrates Court, upon leaving there he was employed with Corrections Victoria working with clients on parole and prosecuting breaches of Community based orders. For the past eight years he has been employed by St Vincent DePaul as a Counsellor and Team Leader working with men who are experiencing homelessness, substance dependence and mental health issues. His other role is working with QICSA reviewing government funded agencies.

Sally trained as a couple and family therapist after migrating to Australia from the UK in 1986. She worked in Sydney for Unifam Counselling and Mediation Services and in private practice, before moving to the University of New England in 2003 as a Lecturer in Counselling. She completed her PhD in 2008 and published a book based on this research entitled “Childhood sexual experiences: Narratives of resilience” with Radcliffe Publishing in 2010. Sally is Course Co-ordinator for the Counselling and Mental Health programs at the University of New England and was principal investigator for a grant into “Meeting the needs of rural and remote Australians through the ongoing development of the interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Practice at UNE conducted in 2010 for the Department of Health and Ageing.

Andrew Little

Andrew is the General Manager at the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP). ACAP has been involved in the education and training of counsellors for over 20 years. Previously, Andrew worked for Relationships Australia in Queensland. He has been actively involved in the counselling field since 1985. Most of his experience as a counsellor, supervisor and counsellor educator has been gained in the non-government community services sector. Now residing in Sydney, he is currently immediate Past-President of one of the PACFA members associations, SCAPE (Society of Counselling and Psychotherapy Educators). He has an interest in the development of counselling and psychotherapy course accreditation within Australia.

Rob Salmon

Rob is well respected for his relational style and multi-faceted abilities in the workplace. After running his own counselling practice for several years, Rob joined the Life Design Counselling team in July 2007 until present. Coming from a dysfunctional family of origin, Rob has used his own journey to help develop a greater understanding of the issues facing people today. He has extensive experience working with men in both individual and group settings providing insight and tools for change. Rob also has extensive experience working with couples in pre-marriage counselling as well as working through a variety of relationship issues. He is actively involved on the Executive in his own MA both at state and National level.

Di Stow

B.A., Dip. Ed., Masters Education, Masters Counselling, PhD candidate - currently writing thesis in areas of counselling, positive uncertainty + grief and loss

Di has worked for 30+ years for the Tasmanian Government as a teacher - primary and senior secondary - and in curriculum health education, Education administration and in particular Di worked with teacher aides to forward their professional standing. Di has also worked as an elected union representative Vice-President for the Australian Education Union. And Di works for the Justice Department in Tasmania managing grievances and code of conduct investigations, performance management and disability.

Di also runs her own counselling practice in Hobart specialising in grief and loss. She is a volunteer counsellor with SIDS and KIDS.

Di is President of the Professional Counselling Association Tasmania Inc., a member PACFA Ethics Committee, and a member PACFA Professional Conduct Panel.

Olga Frazer

Olga is a psychotherapist and counsellor with many years experience in the mental health field. Her clinical experience includes working in mental health settings prior to commencing private practice 15 years ago. She is also the Clinical Director of a Therapy and Rehabilitation Centre which provides both residential and day programme facilities for adults engaged in psychodynamic psychotherapy. In her practice she offers individual and relationship consultations as well as facilitating groups, workshops and trainings. She also provides clinical supervision. Olga is current President of the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Association of Western Australia (PACAWA) and a past President of ANATA (now known as ANZATA). She has worked on several committees and consultative panels in her career. Her passion is fashion design, having won several awards at various Perth Fashion Festivals over the years.

Belinda has worked as a Soul Centred psychotherapist in private practice for the past 14 years. Prior to that she spent a further 9 years in private practice as a Naturopath and Homoeopath. She is President of the ASCP ( a PACFA MA) and a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. She has an ongoing interest in ritual, art and archeology - in digging up the past both literally and metaphorically. She holds a belief that as humans we have a deep yearning for connection to self and other and that this yearning often presents in the therapeutic space. This yearning propels her to create art, construct rituals, write poetry and to visit and explore ancient ritual sites.

Alison is a psychotherapist and supervisor in private practice. She is also the founder of the Centre for Existential Practice which delivers professional development workshops for counsellors and psychotherapists. Previously, Alison was the Academic Director at the Australian College of Applied Psychology during which time she completed her doctorate in the development of supervision programs in Australia.

Phil Henry

Phil Henry has a background in International Commerce (Finance and Administration) and Education. As Principal of Making the Difference Counselling and Consulting – a Brisbane based counselling and consulting practice, Phil is an individual, couple and family therapist, supervisor and trainer. Over the past years, as a sessional lecturer with the Australian Catholic University and Christian Heritage College, Phil has been involved in the training students in a broad range of subjects which have included ethics, theology and counseling skills.

Currently Phil is the National Vice President of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia Inc.(CCAA), the State President of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia (Qld) Inc. and National Secretary of the Society of Counselling and Psychotherapy Educators (SCAPE)

As a Registered Member with Christian Counsellors Association of Australia (CCAA), the Queensland Counsellors Association (QCA), Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), the Society of Counselling and Psychotherapy Educators (SCAPE) and the Commission for Children & Young People, Phil brings a wide range of experience and passion as Chair of the PACFA Ethics Committee.
